Preparing Newborn Diapers
(This is an important step...don't skip it!!)

Wash hot with detergent and tumble dry, repeating this process 5–6 times before first use (they will continue to gain absorbency with more washing).

Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets. If using a Diaper Rash Cream other than Magic Stick (and a few others), we recommend using a Disposable BioLiner to avoid a build up on your diapers which will cause repelling instead of absorbing. If you have questions on the diaper rash cream you are using, please reach out to our Customer Service Team.

General Washing

Remove as much solid matter as possible. Place soiled diaper in a dry diaper pail - no soaking necessary.

We recommend washing every 2 days and using line 1-2 of good cleaning laundry detergent in a warm pre wash, followed by the full recommended amount (or sometimes more, if using a free and clear detergent) in a warm main wash. You can then do an extra rinse at the end, but it is not always necessary.

Mighty Bubbles is great at deep cleaning every few months, or as needed. If you have ammonia build you may need to do a bleach wash to really remove the lingering bacteria trapped in the diapers. If you choose to do one, this is what we recommend.

Take your washed diapers and rewash them in a warm water wash and 1/4 cup bleach for a HE washer or 1/2 cup for a non-HE washer with agitator.  Use an extra rinse or two. You can follow up with Mighty Bubbles to remove any traces or smell leftover.

As always, please contact our Customer Service Department with any questions you may have. We are happy to help!

Newborn All In One - FAQ

Before laundering your cloth diapers, you’ll want to dispose of “the solids.” GroVia BioLiners make this simple! Other families find they can simply dump solids into the toilet and flush. After that, laundering your cloth diapers is as simple as washing a load of towels! Select a good-cleaning detergent and be sure to wash them with warm or hot water.

For diapering full-time with Newborn cloth diapers, you will spend between $300-$400. Newborn diapering can also be accomplished using Hybrid Shells and Size One GroVia Prefolds. Many parents like to have a supply that combines about a dozen Newborn All in Ones with more of this less expensive system.

For a full-time diapering system, we recommend a minimum of 24 changes. For new parents who are on the fence about cloth diapering, we recommend picking up a Four Pack of Newborn All in Ones to test-drive for a week or two before committing.

Perfect introduction to cloth diapering

My wife and I are new to cloth diapering so we weren't sure how this was going to go, but the Newborn All in Ones are a perfect easy to use introduction for new cloth diaper users. After coming home from the hospital where we used the Pampers they provide in postpartum, I remember being amazed by how much softer and gentler these diapers were on my daughter's skin.
