Newborn All In One - FAQ

Before laundering your cloth diapers, you’ll want to dispose of “the solids.” GroVia BioLiners make this simple! Other families find they can simply dump solids into the toilet and flush. After that, laundering your cloth diapers is as simple as washing a load of towels! Select a good-cleaning detergent and be sure to wash them with warm or hot water.

For diapering full-time with Newborn cloth diapers, you will spend between $300-$400. Newborn diapering can also be accomplished using Hybrid Shells and Size One GroVia Prefolds. Many parents like to have a supply that combines about a dozen Newborn All in Ones with more of this less expensive system.

For a full-time diapering system, we recommend a minimum of 24 changes. For new parents who are on the fence about cloth diapering, we recommend picking up a Four Pack of Newborn All in Ones to test-drive for a week or two before committing.

The best diapers out there

This is my first time purchasing the Buttah ONES and they are so soft. Can’t wait to use them on our new baby.

Overall great diapers!

We had some leaks in the beginning, despite washing these at least 6 times before our baby arrived. Our baby was around 7.5 lbs when she started wearing these, but it wasn't until she was about 9 lbs that the leaking stopped. We don't have any issues with leaks anymore, but I anticipate that we may have a short period of leaky times again when we transition her out of the newborn size to the larger AIO.

Although its not necessary to soak the diapers, we do put them in a 5 gal bucket with water sns oxygen "bleach" (the natural kind that is not harsh, and we throw some of this as well as hydrogen peroxide in the wash to help with the smell. We also have no stains using this method! The sun helps get rid of smell trapped in the fabric as well but will make the diapers a bit crispy. You could dry them in the dryer first and then sun them, alternatively.

We also found the buttah diapers to have a slightly tighter fit than the other, more slick style. We love the softness of the buttah. Also wish the newborn were available in organic, but they have not irritated our little one's bum at all. We love them! Cloth diapers are the way to go. A little more work, but it's so worth it!
